Jamo Subwoofer Works For Seconds And Turn Off

My rbh subwoofer works when I turn it on, but stops after 5 My rbh subwoofer works when. My rbh subwoofer works when I turn it on, but stops after 5 seconds. The power light stays on. My Panasonic SA-HT17 is shutting off 1 second after I turn it on. For the 1 second that it stays on, it displays F76.

Hi all,I have searched and searched but have not found this particular problem. I am seeking help, advice.I have had two Jamo J 112 SUBs working great for over a year. A month ago one stopped turning on, and now the second.Reproducing the problem: Turn to ON (or plug in), the blue power light comes on and then goes out within 2 seconds. This happens on both subwoofers.Sometimes (very rarely) one of them at random will stay on and play successfully for a minute, two minutes max.NOTE. The blue light 'on then off' happens whether or not the sub cable is attached.Troubleshooting.-Multiple outlets, multiple circuit protectors, with and without passing through Panamax M5400 Voltage regulator.-Fuses are solid looking (I checked external only). I assume if a fuse was blown they would not turn on at all.Ideas? Thoughts?Thank you very much,DavidSent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk.

Are the subs set to on or auto? It does seem like an odd issue, almost like they are going into protect mode.

Jbl Subwoofer Turns On And Off

Have you tried a different power cable? Sadly, these subs use the same amps as the Klipsch R-112sw. The sad part is none of these amps seem to be reliable in the Klipsch R and Jamo J series of subs.A very odd issue for sure.

They are set to ON, and I just tried different power cables = no change. You're right, it does seem like protection mode. Even with zero input, no sub cable attached. On then Off.And the rare time when one will stay on for a minute, maybe two, and function normally at both high and low volume. What the -#;$(. I'm banging my head.Thank you for responding!Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk. I'm having the same issue with my Jamo J112.

I have to unplug it then plug it back in. Then I turn it to on and the blue light briefly flashes on then right off and it won't come back on if I toggle the switch, it needs to be unpluged if I want to toggle the light again.Did you get this cleared up?One of them works now. This may or may not have helped: One of my Adcom 565 mono blocks had some type of electrical issue.

It was throwing bad current in my home power. Turn in a light and click click Pop from it's speaker.Backtrack one month:Note: My subs were always on with no surge protector or AC conditioner - yeah, I'm an idiot. One Jamo goes bad for no apparent reason showing the same signs as I described above (same as what you're experiencing). A couple weeks go by and I do a speaker and carpet clean (you know, dust, shine, vacuum, etc). While vacuuming with a cordless (CORDLESS) vacuum I hit the good sub's RCA, which was unplugged from sub, but still connected to receiver's sub out. Immediately from my Klipsch Chorus powered by Adcom 565 I hear.click Pop Pop HUMMMM.

A nasty situation. I knew I.ed up the amp. How, no idea. Electricity does messed up things. So, the next time I plugged in the good fucntioning sub it was doing the same thing as the original bad one.

Even though it was completely unplugged when I tapped the RCA on the floor with the cordless vacuum. The sub should NOT have been impacted. It was unplugged completely. This sub started working again only after I removed my messed up Adcom. 565 from the system. The original bad one, well that's still the same.broken.Conclusion. I feel the first sub experienced some electricity hit that knocked it dizzy.

Subwoofer Turns Off At Low Volume

The second sub was unable to function while the messed up amp was plugged in, even when the amp was turned off.I feel there is some extra delicate circuitry in these subs where even the slightest AC miss match throws them in to protect mode. No fuses get blown, no hiss or popping; they just. off if things aren't smooth.Honestly I don't like this answer at all; it's crap. My first bad sub is still broke, but the second one runs like a champ after ridding my faulty Amp from the system.Advice: if you hear any clicking or popping when you turn on a light, start removing equipment until you find the bad piece.

Then turn on your sub.Or, take it to a neighbors or somewhere and just plug it in and turn it on. If the blue light stays on somewhere else then I would gamble you have some AC creepy crawlies.Good luck!

Let me know.Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk.

I have had my speakers for 2,5 years, but I already realized this problem last year but haven't really bothered me.My speakers works pretty fine at some point, but suddenly they manage to turn off. After I turns them manually off/on again, they work as they should. It varies from 3 minutes to 30 minutes before they eventually turns off again.I never use the bass at all, but whenever I turn the bass up with my right-speaker, it makes very much noise - it sounds like 'wind' or some blow-sounds. I never use it as I wrote. My speakers are very similiar to this, if not, this may be exactly the same speakers as I have:'SANDSTROM SBS2112'. All my wires are connected to the correct spot and I can't see any damage on the wires either.May it be some damage inside the bass that effects both of my speakers to suddenly shutdown?I have also tried to use the speakers on another stationary computer, and a laptop. The same problem happens. Is there anything I can do/fix inside the speakers or anything?Appreciate the support alot.

I am looking for a solution to fix this issue, not to buy new speakers because I have no money, I am not a magician.Unless you have electrical engineering experience and can test the amp yourself, there is no 'solution to fix' (redundant as hell because a solution literally means 'a fix', just ask for 'a solution to this issue') if the amp is dying. If you have electrical engineering knowledge and tools (sounds like you have neither), then you might be able to pinpoint the issue, but if you don't replacement is likely your only option. Just skip out on buying the next game or few albums you wanted and get real speakers.
